Leverstock Green Ladies produced a formidable first half performance that left visitors Bishops Stortford shell shocked on Sunday. Levy Green were one up within 30 seconds courtesy of player of the match, centre midfielder Sally Green. This paved the way for an impressive return to football for the Green Army, who have not played in over 4 weeks.

Levy Ladies were ruthless as the half progressed and added seven more to their tally before the half time break with goals coming from Sapphire Kalinski, Nic Hollick, Sally Green (3 more) and pocket rocket Giselle Subryan (2) who scored the goal of the game, bullet heading home from almost 18 yards out.

In the second half Bishops Stortford put up a commendable fight especially given the scoreline and were denied on 70 minutes by an outstanding save from Levy's keeper Jess Devoti, who parried away a well driven shot low to her left. An over zealous shoulder barge 5 minutes later in the Levy box from right back Claire Brown, left her nursing a sore shoulder and the visitors being awarded a penalty, which they coolly dispatched.

However two further goals from Nic Hollick (80 minutes) and Gemma Coggins (86 minutes) ensured any plans for a miracle comeback were halted.

The Green Army now await the outcome of the draw, to find out who they will face in the semi-final.

Leverstock Green: Devoti, Belcher, Brown, Brydon, Coggins, Green, Hollick, Kalinski, Subryan, Turturici, Williams. Subs: Eaton, Evans, Fearns, McAvoy.
