Brentwood Town Ladies (0) 2
at Pancake Lane

Report by Scott Isaacs

Leverstock Green Ladies put in a fantastic performance for their first home game of the season and deservedly earned their first 3 points of this year's campaign. Captain fantastic Jo Williams notched her first goal of the season following a blistering run from wide player Nic Hollick who pulled it back for Williams to calmly place out of reach of the Brentwood keeper with 11 minutes on the clock.

Hollick was involved again shortly afterwards with another driving run into the box before hitting a venomous strike that the visiting keeper was only able to parry to the feet of new striker Donique Heckert who snatched her first goal for the club in only her second appearance.

Levy looked comfortable at the break and deserved their two goal lead after playing some sensational football that bamboozled the visitors. However Brentwood were far from beaten and emerged from the break determined to find a way back into the game, which they did through a converted corner. At 2-1 Levy had a nervy patch before Hollick was involved again, this time driving down the opposite flank before playing it across the 18yard box for Kiran Jeeto to latch onto with a stunning strike high in the corner.

Levy continued to threaten but were caught on the the counter attack by a late Brentwood goal, which lead to an uncomfortable extra 5 minutes of injury time before the win was finally sealed.

Levy Ladies were fully worthy of the three points in this fixture and have bounced back from two consecutive defeats with a performance that will massively boost morale and confidence.
