Reserves thwarted by Chesham comeback
Suburban League Northern Division
Chesham United 3 Leverstock Green 2
Chesham had won 6-1 at Pancake Lane earlier in the season and they looked to start the same way, scoring after 3 minutes from the penalty spot after a tackle from Joe Cooper.
Green equalized from a fine end to end move with Sean Moss scoring.
Green took the lead through Sean Biswell.
Chesham came back strongly in the second half and scored an equalizer when a silly free kick was given away.
Mark Broom was sent off after he gave away a penalty when the Chesham player was through on goal. Matt Hooker saved his second penalty in 4 days to keep Green in the game.
However, Chesham scored the winner a couple of minutes later.
The Green deserved something out of the game after playing some very good football on a decent pitch. It looks as though the tide is starting to turn.
