Green denied dramatic win at the death

Leverstock Green returned to Holmer Green for a league match, just a week after winning there in the Premier Division Cup.

Just like last week, Leverstock trailed 1-0 at half time, this time through Elliot Derby's goal in the 7th minute. And again like last week, Green staged a second half fightback. Charlie Gorman equalised 15 minutes from time, and it looked as though Green had snatched the win when Adam Hallissey slipped the ball under the keeper in stoppage time to put them 2-1 up.

However, two minutes further into stoppage time, Holmer were awarded a somewhat dubious free kick, and Andy Shed rose at the far post to head home an equaliser. The referee blew for time immediately after the restart.

Thus, Leverstock's winning run ends at six games, but their unbeaten run in all competitions now stretches to ten games.

Team: Gareth Tinsley, Lee Bircham, Jon Davies (Steve Hatch), Craig Preston, Bill Morgan, Dan Boyce (Steve Hutchins), Adam Hallissey, Dan Griggs, Lewis Pritchard (Bekim Culaj), Charlie Gorman, Louis Austin.
