Under-18s shine in FA Youth Cup

The under-18s continued their impressive form this season with a demolition of Northwood in the FA Youth Cup 2nd qualifying round on Thursday night.

Harry Gilbert opened the scoring in the 6th minute, with Luke Warner-Eley making it 2-0 three minutes later. Casey Lindsell added the third on 32 minutes, and a second from Warner Eley on 43 minute plus an Alfie Boswell strike on the stroke of half-time gave Leverstock an unbelievable 5-0 lead over the hosts at the break.

Warner-Eley completed his hat-trick three minutes into the second half, and Boswell notched his second on the hour, before the home side pulled three goals back to leave a final score of Northwood 3 Leverstock Green 7. The Leverstock side now host AFC Hornchurch in the 3rd qualifying round on Thursday 23rd October. The prize for the winner of that tie is a mouthwatering trip to Southend United in the First Round Proper!

The under-18s have won all six of their competitive games so far, scoring 28 goals and conceding just six.
