Green battle for point after keeper injury

Leverstock Green edged another point closer to Premier Division safety with a 1-1 draw against Holmer Green at Pancake Lane on Thursday night.

The Green suffered a blow early on when keeper Kieran Jimmy had to leave the game injured, and with no sub keeper on the bench, Gavin Smith had to take over in goal. Soon after, Dean Allen put Holmer into a 1-0 lead which they held into the break. However, Leverstock played well in the second half and a superb strike from Elias Moses levelled the scores at 1-1 and secured a point, which was the least they deserved from the game.

Team: Jimmy, Cruickshank, Shelly-McPherson, O'Keefe, Wright, Walsh, Moses, Woolley, McCluskey, Talbot, Bircham. Subs used: G.Smith, Warner-Eley, Jallow.
