Under 18s have to settle for second

The under-18s will finish in second place in the Southern Counties Floodlit Youth League Corinthian Division after this week's results confirmed that Luton Town Cedars clinched the title. They won 4-1 against Chesham United on Monday night to increase their lead to five points, and followed that with a 6-0 win at Tring Athletic on Wednesday night, which combined with Leverstock's 1-1 draw at Berkhamsted on the same night meant they are seven points clear with Green only having two games to play.

A late equaliser from Oliseh Okoudi at least ensured that Leverstock came away from Broadwater with a point. They now finish their league campaign with two games against Newport Pagnell Town, and are also still in the Brian Hitchings Cup, with a home third round tie against Crawley Green to come.

Wednesday's team: Berg, Devine, Shelly-McPherson, B.Gardner, Osbourne, McMullen, Adu, Preedy, Boswell, Warner-Eley, Linsell. Sub used: Okoudi.
