Ladies' secretary Emma Brown issued the following statement following a team meeting on Wednesday evening:

"Unfortunately for the ladies as a whole we have had to make a very difficult decision tonight! We have had to take the hard choice to fold the ladies for this season with immediate effect.

It has been a very difficult start to the season for everyone and with a lengthy discussion tonight we cannot see any other alternative.

We have however made a decision together that the ladies will be staying together in a 5/6 a-side league to keep fitness going and we will be reforming next season, a few leagues lower, but this is a decision that we have all agreed on.

Thank you all for your support throughout the season and may it continue next year!"
