Levy Ladies returned to league action after the Easter break and took little time in getting back into the groove against a depleted Welwyn side when they opened the scoring after just 4 minutes when Leigh Burrows went on a solo run beating three defenders before firing home into the bottom right hand corner.

The pitch was surprisingly firm and bobbly after the recent wet weather and this did create problems for Levy with their pass and move game, however they doubled the lead on 10 minutes when a fine Pru corner was headed goalwards by Chloe, only to see the ball handled on the line by a Welwyn player - Ellen Salter duly stepped up to dispatch the resulting penalty with a firmly struck shot.

On 17 minutes the ball was played out from the Levy back line to Cally who threaded the ball through to Pru who finished well with great confidence to make to scoreline 3 nil and just a minute later the goal of the game saw Levy take a 4 nil lead when Cally supplied Frankie down the right hand flank and she cut the ball back for Pru to score once more on the volley.

Many substitutions were made throughout the half to ensure that all 16 of the squad saw plenty of the game, and whilst this kept everyone fresh it did disrupt the flow of the game and it took until the 44th minute before Levy scored again when another excellent Pru corner was bundled over the line from close range by Frankie Novelli on her 16th birthday, for a 5 nil halftime lead.

The second half began with Levy Ladies on fire and further goals were scored on 47 minutes when Cally supplied Pru who calmly rounded the keeper to score, 3 minutes later Leigh supplied Cally who jinked round a couple of players before extending the lead further and on 54 minutes Cally collected the ball directly from a goal kick before a great mazy run saw her score once more for an 8 nil lead.

Cally supplied Pru on 57 minutes who dinked the ball over the goal keeper to make it 9 nil before Levy blotted their copybook with some sloppy defending allowing Welwyn a consolation goal on 61 minutes.

Two minutes later Cally was brought down on the edge of the box and stepped up to smash the free kick awarded into the roof of the net for her hattrick and her 39th of the season.

A clumsy tackle on 75 minutes resulted in the home side scoring from a penalty before Leigh finished the rout with her 42nd goal of the season with 6 minutes remaining to make the final scoreline 11-2 to Levy Ladies.

Lots of excellent performances from the squad today with Cally and Emma having excellent matches throughout, however Pru Squires-Adams was player of the match with a stunning performance in which she not only scored 4, but linked play brilliantly throughout and carried an attacking threat all game long.

The victory saw Levy Ladies not only win their 15th successive league match, but also secure the League Title - with 3 League games & a Cup Final remaining the girls are now looking to push on for the clean sweep.
